For the third straight day, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is reporting a record number of COVID-19 cases.
The numbers released on Saturday show that 926 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, up from 845 and 754 in the two previous reporting periods.
The positive rate is on the rise as well. DHS says 12,019 test results were analyzed in the past 24 hours, putting the positive percentage rate at 7.7%.
That’s up from 6.7% and 5.7% in the two previous 24-hour periods.
Seven new COVID-19 related deaths were also reported on Saturday, bringing that total number to 821 in Wisconsin.
