An Illinois police officer has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography after being arrested at his home in Salem, Wisconsin.
Mark Paglini was taken into custody on Wednesday after a search warrant was issued.
If he is convicted on all 10 counts, he faces up to 250 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Kenosha County and Lake County (Ill.) Sheriff’s Offices, Ontario Provincial Police and the Tower Lakes (Ill.) and Prairie Grove (Ill.) Police Departments all are taking part in the investigation.
