MILWAUKEE — Cases of Covid-19 are continuing to rise in Wisconsin, however the percentage of positive tests is declining over the last 24-hour period.
The number of people in the state testing positive for COVID-19 grew to 10,020 on Saturday, May 9 according to data from state and county health officials. There have been 399 deaths statewide. More than 101,000 people have tested negative.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, over 4600 tests were administered within that last 24-hours with 349 of them coming back positive. That’s approximately 7%.
May 8th revealed that 8.1% of tests, administered in that 24-hour period, were positive.
In total, 399 deaths have been reported statewide and 18% of cases have required hospitalization.
