State Representative David Crowley and State Senator Chris Larson emerged from the pack Tuesday night, as both will be vying to become the next Milwaukee County Executive.
For Crowley, however, it was still a work night while the Assembly was in session.
“I continued to watch the polls,” Crowley told WTMJ. “At first I have to tell you my heart dropped because I’d seen the results that were originally coming in, weren’t the correct results, and I’d seen myself at one percent and didn’t know what to think.”
Crowley says a text from the campaign calmed his nerves quickly.
“It was a moment where we realized Milwaukee County is ready for change,” he said.
