Milwaukee Tool will be expanding in Wisconsin for its next manufacturing plant.
The Brookfield-based company announcing Monday their new vertically integrated plant will be in West Bend as part of the city’s new industrial park, just north of County Road NN along River Road.
The 75-thousand square foot building will manufacture new-to-market Hand Tools for professional electricians and utility lineman.
“With a focus on core users in the Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical trades, our strategy for Hand Tools from the beginning has been to disrupt the market with superior performance, quality, and user-driven feature sets,” said Tim Albrecht, President of Hand Tools for Milwaukee Tool. “As we continue with that strategy, we are thrilled to invest in state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and a skilled labor force – right in the heart of Wisconsin – to deliver the next wave of hand tool innovation to the industry.”
The 26-million dollar investment will start with 50 jobs for the plant, with plans to hire 100 people by the end of 2025. The plant can also be expanded to 225-thousand square feet if need be on its 20-acre plot of land.
Ground breaking for the facility will be in April.
