The Medical College of Wisconsin has identified the person killed at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Friday as Carlie Beaudin.
The 33-year-old was a nurse practitioner in the Department of Medicine-Division of Hematology and Oncology at MCW. She had been employed with MCW since 2014, and Froedtert Hospital from 2007 to 2014.
In a statement sent by Holly Botsfold from the Office of Communications with MCW, “Her presence was felt by all who knew her, providing both warmth and strength to patients and well as mentorship to new advanced practice providers and nurses.”
Beaudin was found under a vehicle in a parking structure early Friday morning, and passed away within an hour of being found. The statement from MCW adds they are working with law enforcement to enhanced security measures.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says a 27-year-old man is in custody in connection to the death. Charges are still pending.
