A two vehicle accident causes the death of a Madison man, and severely injures another man, on 94 westbound near Pewaukee Friday.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office says they got word just after 1:30 p.m. of the accident near Elmhurst Road in the Town of Delafield.
An investigation determining a vehicle traveling eastbound, driven by a 34-year-old man from Madison, lost control and crossed the median. It then struck a vehicle traveling westbound, driven by a 58-year-old man.
The Madison man died at the scene. The other driver was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Traffic on 94 westbound was taken off the interstate for several hours as investigators were at the scene and clean up took place afterwards. Traffic was allowed back on this part of the interstate after 5 p.m.
