The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office and Milwaukee Police Department are jointly searching to find an inmate who went missing near the Milwaukee County Circuit Court building downtown.
The Sheriff’s Office says that they are trying to find Douglas Slock II, 42, from Greenfield.
According to the Sheriff’s office, he was on work duty with a correctional officer just before 5 a.m. Wednesday when he ran from a dock area and remains at large. Authorities closed the MacArthur Square parking structure but re-opened it at about 7 a.m.
Slock faces charges of 5th ofense operating while intoxicated along with previous charges of burglary and bail jumping.
He is described as 5’8″, 180 lbs. with short gray hair. He had on a gray t-shirt and dark blue jail pants.
The United States Marshals Task Force is also assisting authorities to help find him.
The correctional officer involved faces suspension from Sheriff Richard Schmidt as an internal investigation is set to happen.
