MILWAUKEE — There will be no baseball played at Miller Park this weekend, as the series with the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed.
Brewers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager David Stearns confirms that several Cardinals coaches came into Miller Park Friday, however did not come in contact with any Brewers’ team personnel.
“If we can do this safely, I want to move forward, yes. And I think the players want to play. That’s why they are here,” Stearns says.
Center Fielder Lorenzo Cain will not play the rest of the season. He chose to opt out Saturday, a decision fully supported by the Brewers organization.
