MILWAUKEE — A crossing guard was hit by a car and seriously injured Tuesday morning on Milwaukee’s south side.
It happened around 7:50 a.m. near W. Oklahoma Avenue and S. 25th Street by Pulaski High School.
According to Milwaukee police, a vehicle tried to go around another car when they hit the crossing guard.
The 70-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
Police say the driver remained on the scene and was cited for no insurance.
An investigation is ongoing.
