One of Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine’s former linebackers in Cleveland is coming to Green Bay to help his defense, according to a report.
NFL.com’s Mike Garofolo reports the Packers are signing Christian Kirksey to a two-year, $16 million deal.
Kirksey, a six-year veteran, started 45 of 64 games over his first four years with the Browns. He forced four fumbles over those years and had 148 tackles in 2016 and 138 in 2017.
He played in just nine games the last two years, suffering a torn pectoral in 2019.
