Working as a police officer is more than just a commitment to protect and serve the residents of your community.

Salute to Service honoree Patrolman David Duncan exemplifies both of those characteristics.
He starts his day with a simple promise to his wife: “I start my morning, every single day, by kissing my wife and telling her I love her and I’m coming home. I do that every day because it’s a promise.”
His fifteen year career with the Round Lake Beach Police Department has been grounded in his belief that honesty is what defines great police work.
“Honesty, above all else, is the most important factor a human being can have,” Duncan says.
