MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers’ executive budget features tax cuts for the middle class, more dollars for public education, tens of millions of dollars to repair the Milwaukee Brewers’ stadium, automatic voter registration and revisions to the state’s land stewardship program. Evers released the budget to the Legislature on Wednesday evening. Highlights of the two-year spending plan include a 10% tax cut for single people earning up to $100,000 and couples earning up to $150,000, $2.6 billion for public schools and $290 million to cover repairs at American Family Field. The budget also calls for state transportation officials to automatically register eligible citizens on file to vote and for loosening legislative oversight of stewardship purchases.
