Milwaukee Police are looking for a specific Jeep Cherokee that they believe caused a fatal accident on the city’s north side March 29, 2020.
Police say the vehicle, described as having four-doors and dark in color, had four people inside it when it was traveling on the 6500 block of West Appleton Avenue, around Burleigh Street, just before 12:20 p.m.
The vehicle was swerving in and out of traffic when it was passed by another vehicle. The person driving the passing vehicle told police they heard multiple gunshots, with bullets striking their vehicle.
This caused the struck vehicle to collide with a third vehicle near Appleton and Keefe. The collission caused the death of 64-year-old Katie Pacala of Milwaukee.
Police say the Jeep Cherokee was last seen heading westbound on Appleton, and are treating this investigation as a homicide.
Anyone with information on the Jeep or the people inside it are asked to contact Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360, or call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-8477.
