As the temperatures drop in Wisconsin, the activities outdoors are heating up and WTMJ Outdoors is here for all of it.
On this week’s episode, we meet our newest WTMJ Outdoors partner, Lake Lawn Resort, one of the top resort destinations in the state, Steve talks with Brooke VanHandel from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for an update on the archery season for whitetail deer across the state, and a conversation with a representative of the Milwaukee Audubon Society on their work restoring our natural heritage and ecology.
Lynn Ketterhagen, General Manager at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, shares their winter schedule of activities, and highlights some special holiday-themed events.
Brooke VanHandel, Assistant Deer and Elk Specialist for the Wisconsin DNR, breaks down the whitetail hunt so far during Wisconsin’s archery deer hunting season and tells Steve how she approaches her life spent outdoors for work and leisure.
And finally, Steve talks with Maggie Szpot, a Board member with the Milwaukee Audubon Society, on their mission to preserve and restore our natural environments in Wisconsin, and how the greater community can get involved.
All this week on WTMJ Outdoors, sponsored by Outdoor Living Unlimited, on 620 WTMJ.
Steve Scaffidi is also the host of Point Taken, which airs from 10-Noon, weekdays on 620 WTMJ.
