LISBON, WI.—- An 11-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after a vehicle struck him and an 8-year-old girl while they were riding a minibike in the Village of Lisbon Saturday evening.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 6 p.m. when a 26-year-old woman driving a car hit the children on the roadway. The boy was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, while the girl was transported by family members with minor injuries.
Authorities say the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators. The Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing possible charges.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Village of Lac La Belle, New Berlin Police, and the Pewaukee Fore Department. The incident remains under investigation.
