MILWAUKEE — This year’s 2025 Summerfest media team is made up of many photographers based out of the Milwaukee area. They are in charge of capturing moments at the festival, from bands to food to attendees.
“This is my first year at Summerfest. It’s been a great experience so far,” says Anna Oleniczak, local concert photographer. “I started doing photography for concerts almost two years ago this July.  And it’s been a really fast come up to get to where I am. Being able to have an opportunity to do work for a media festival team where you’re getting paid work is really fulfilling as a creative person.”

Oleniczak had the opportunity to capture major headliners on weekend one, including Japanese Breakfast, Natasha Bedingfield, and Aly & AJ.
The media team is also in charge of capturing branding and promotions at the festival. The photographers are allowed to put their own unique spins on the photos, finding different angles, editing, and exploring their own perspectives.
For photographer Bobbie Knopp, this year’s media is focused on the connection side of the festival. She’s been capturing groups of friends, eating, laughing, and walking around.

“I love colors. I like all things surrealism. I like to take things that you cannot capture with your own eye and put it into a picture. I’m doing a lot of food photography, which I love to do, too. Everyone likes food. Everyone likes pretty pictures of food. I started off my career in sweaty basements, and then I started shooting at Cactus Club, then the Rave, and now I’m here at Summerfest. So it’s really just been building off of my experience.”
