The Milwaukee Police Department says a 12-year-old boy was shot while in his family’s multi-unit apartment building around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say he was sleeping in his bedroom in the 2400 block of W. National Ave. when he was struck by gunfire.
Investigators determined that a suspect fired a gun from an adjoining apartment, the bullet penetrated a wall to the child’s bedroom and then struck the child.
He was transported to the hospital and is said to be in good condition.
