A report says that a key starter in recent years for the Milwaukee Brewers is heading to Toronto in a trade.
Brewers reporter Robert Murray first reported that Chase Anderson would be traded to Toronto from Milwaukee.

Scott Mitchell of Canadian network TSN says the Brewers are getting Chad Spanberger, a first baseman, in the trade.

Anderson went 8-4 with a 4.21 ERA for Milwaukee in 2019. In total, he went 38-27 for the Brewers over four years.
Spanberger spent 2019 with New Hampshire in the AA Eastern League. He batted .237 with 13 home runs and 59 RBI in 480 plate appearances.
