In a back and forth game through 5 innings, the Chicago Cubs used a 5-run 6th inning to upend the Brewers 10-5. Kyle Schwarber hit a grand slam to lead the charge as the Crew falls 5 games behind the Cubs for the second Wild Card spot in the National League.Â
Hernan Perez gave the Brewers an early 2-1 lead. After falling behind 4-2, Yasmani Grandal tied the game at 4 in the 5th. Both teams were held scoreless until the Cubs added a David Bote solo home run in the 9th.
Game 2 takes place at Miller Park tomorrow night at 7:10. Zach Davies takes the hill for the Brewers and will face lefty Cole Hamels. Â
