The Green Bay Packers will kick off the 2025 NFL Season hosting the Detroit Lions Sunday at Lambeau Field.
It’s difficult to predict what’s going to happen ‘any given Sunday,’ but ESPN Wisconsin’s Mark Tauscher and ESPN Milwaukee’s Gabe Neitzel provided insight on WTMJ’s Wis. Morning News on Friday.
“I think Green Bay wins in a low-scoring tussle,” Tauscher said. “The defenses will be ahead of the offenses. I like Green Bay in a tight one.”
Neitzel also expected the Packers to win, but assumed both offenses will have more success.
“I think we get a high scoring game. 31-27 Packers,” he predicted. “The offenses will come out firing and defenses will be a half-step behind. (Similar to) what we saw Thursday night in the Eagles win over the Cowboys.
Both Tauscher and Neitzel are expecting the Packers to make the post-season, but Neitzel said going 1-5 in the NFC North won’t cut it this year.
“You have to be better in the division,” he said. “It is key to the success of the Green Bay Packers in 2025.”
