GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Dallas Cowboys are trading three-time All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Parsons and the Packers already have reached an agreement on a four-year, $188 million contract, making him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history. Parsons, who was present at Cowboys training camp but not practicing, requested a trade in July after contract talks reached a stalemate.
In exchange for Parsons, the Packers are sending three-time pro-bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks to Dallas.
In four years in the NFL, Parsons has built a resume befitting of a future hall of famer:
- Defensive Rookie of the Year: 2021
- All-Pro: Two-time First-Team (2021, 2022), Second-Team (2023)
- Pro Bowl: Four-time selection in each of his four NFL seasons (2021-2024)
- Sacks: 52.5 sacks in 63 games
- Pressures: Leads the NFL in quarterback pressure rate over the past four seasons
Parsons has recorded at least 12 sacks in each of his first four seasons, a feat matched only by Hall of Famer Reggie White in league history.
Clark spent all 9 of his NFL seasons with the Packers after being selected with the 27th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
