Beer is diverse. Drinkers have a wide variety of tastes, smells, colors, and flavors.
But the folks who make it? Not so diverse.
The beer industry is one that lacks minority and women owners.
John Harry, a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, wants to change that.
The beer historian is teaming up with Vennture Brew Company in Milwaukee to host a talk about diversity in brewing.
It takes place tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Vennture Brew Company, 5519 North Avenue in Milwaukee.
Harry joined Wisconsin’s Morning News to preview the event and explain why it’s important to get this discussion going. Listen to the full interview in the player above.
