The USS Constitution was built before Wisconsin was even a state. But nearly 230 years later, it is still an active duty United States Naval ship. Schaefer joined Wisconsin’s Midday News to discuss leading the USS Constitution. Schaefer said part of her role is keeping the ship’s history alive while continuing to lead the sailors serving aboard the active-duty Navy vessel.
