Tim Schneider is the President and CEO of Bank Five Nine. He is also a proud Wisconsin native who grew up on a dairy farm.

In the latest installment of Mercurious, Schneider and I spent the day walking the dairy barns on a farm in Sheboygan Falls. It was fun watching Schneider as he traded in his suit for a pair of jeans and a polo. He was at ease shoveling feed and walking the barn floor. “I feel at home here, ” he told me. “It brings me back to a simpler time of chores and playing among the cows and crops.”
Schneider has been in the banking industry for almost 40 years and became President and CEO of Bank Five Nine in 2022. He says his early life on the farm prepared him for a successful career in banking.
“I learned to work hard at a very young age. It was about starting a task and completing the task. On the farm you have to do things the right way or things fall apart,” he told me as we walked. “That work ethic was instilled in me when I was a small boy.”

Schneider brings a culture of caring to Bank Five Nine. A couple of years ago he launched “Tim’s Treat”. Once a month he goes out to a local business or non-profit. He surprises people with a “treat”. It can be paying for a meal or handing out a gift card. Schneider says it’s an easy way
To give back to the communities the bank serves.
When he’s not at work Tim can be found enjoying a good Bourbon and some Earth, Wind, and Fire!
