MILWAUKEE — The temperature almost reached the record high for this date.
WTMJ news took a thermometer read of 94 degrees a little after 2 p.m. this afternoon. Milwaukee’s record for June 23 was a temperature of 95, set in 1934.
According to the National Weather Service, the heat is expected to continue through tonight before shattering under incoming thunderstorms and a following cold front.

A severe thunderstorm warning is currently in effect.
