A proposal that would increase pay for Milwaukee’s mayor and Common Council members is drawing criticism as city leaders continue to face budget pressures and rising costs for residents.
On Truth to Power, host Kyle Wallace focused on a plan that would provide an 8% pay increase beginning with the next four-year term in 2028, followed by 2% annual salary increases. Under the proposal discussed on the show, council members would earn $90,941 in 2028.
