KENOSHA, Wis. — Standing water has prompted a road closure and a park closure in Kenosha during a weekend of heavy rain and flood watches.
A notice from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office say the 8600 block of County Highway S, or Washington Rd. is closed.
Petrifying Springs Park is closed due to standing water across the roadways and around several pavilions, according to Kenosha County Parks.

The sheriff’s office is reminding drivers to not attempt driving through standing or moving water, because water may be deeper than it appears and road conditions underneath may be unsafe.
