GREEN BAY, Wis.– The Green Bay Packers and tight end Tucker Kraft agree to a contract extension one day before the Packers’ season opener in Minnesota.
General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the agreement on Saturday, September 12.
According to ESPN, the 4-year deal has a base value of $75 million, but could be up to $92 million, including a $26.5 million signing bonus. The deal would make Kraft the third-highest-paid tight end in the league.
The Packers selected Kraft in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, where he quickly became a standout player on the team.
In his three seasons with the Packers, 25-year-old Kraft has secured 113 receptions for 1,551 yards overall.
Kraft’s season was cut short after eight games in 2025 due to an anterior cruciate ligament tear.
Although Kraft’s season ended early last November, he managed to put up impressive numbers before his injury. In those eight games, Kraft had 32 receptions for 489 yards, averaging 15.3 yards per reception. Additionally, he scored 6 of his 15 NFL career touchdowns in those games.
A recovered Kraft returned to team practice and drills in August 2026.
The Green Bay Packers season opener kicks off Sunday, September 13, against the Minnesota Vikings.
