This one is for the curious. The just-a-tad more than mundane. This is the 36th first annual Ig Nobel Prize awards. No, that’s not a typo. That’s what it is called.
The Ig Nobel Prize ceremony is where the brightest and most curious minds in science gather to celebrate their dumbest of discoveries. Findings that include the prop aerodynamics of blowing your nose, to which social class is really more likely to literally take candy from a baby. You can find scholarly articles published by scientists around the world of these discoveries, and this is their equivalent to the Academy Awards.
