MILWAUKEE— Milwaukee police are investigating eight separate shootings reported from Friday evening through early Sunday morning, including one that killed a 37-year-old man.
The first happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday near 12th Street and Keefe avenue. Police say the 37-year-old victim was shot and died at the scene. Investigators are looking for a known suspect.
About four hours later, a 34-year-old was shot near North Teutonia Avenue and Good Hope Road. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The next two shootings happened Saturday morning. A 44-year-old was inured around 9:50 a.m. near 50th and Hampton. About two and a half hours later, a 28-year-old was injured near 58th Boulevard and Vienna Avenue. Both victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Four more shootings were reported overnight into Sunday.
A 19 year-old was injured around 12:21 a.m. near 42nd and Fairmount Avenue. A 32-year-old was then injured around 2:14 a.m. near 32nd and Villard. Three minutes later, police reported a separate shooting near 38th and Concordia Avenue, where a 34-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The latest shooting happened around 4:14 a.m. near 37th and Villard. A 37-year-old was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
