FOND DU LAC, Wis. — A man charged in a Madison stalking investigation that led police to a Fond du Lac home filled with skeletal remains and serial killer memorabilia is back in jail.

Detectives arrested Benjamin Larson on Monday in connection to the evidence that authorities discovered at his home on Aug. 14, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. Larson was taken into custody on three counts of receiving stolen property and one count of felony bail jumping, although formal charges have not been filed.

Court records show Larson posted bond on Aug. 21 after he was initially arrested in Dane County on one felony stalking charge, over allegations that he has repeatedly contacted a woman whom he briefly dated over a decade ago.

Larson’s re-arrest comes as authorities investigate items ranging from human skulls and bones to binders of research on Ed Gein and the Zodiac Killer found at his home.

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney said his office is still working on a charging decision, but anticipates Larson’s first court appearance could be as soon as Wednesday, Sept. 2. Larson has an arraignment in Dane County on the felony stalking charge scheduled for Sept. 11.
