LAKE COUNTY, Ill.– A Lake County man was found guilty of a 2022 murder.

28-year-old Johnathon Skroko was found guilty of shooting 42-year-old Robbie Dickerson, who was found face down in a bathtub in an Antioch home in September of 2022.

Skroko had allegedly planned to rob Dickerson during a drug deal, when he shot him twice.

His co-defendant Hailey Miller, who witnessed the shooting, testified that the pair traveled to Wisconsin and other locations around Illinois to hide, before they were ultimately arrested at a hotel in Gurnee.

Skroko claimed he acted in self-defense.

He was found guilty after one hour, and is facing life in prison.
