WEST ALLIS, Wis.– Just days before the start of the season, Nathan Hale High School released a statement revealing to that several members of the school’s football coaching staff have been placed on administrative leave.
The district is conducting a “personnel investigation.” They also say that there has been no “concern regarding the safety or well-being of any of our student-athletes.”

After the statement was released, more football coaches announced their resignations.
The school wrote that Coach Cody Schumitsch, a 2015 graduate, will serve as the interim head coach, while they search for a permanent replacement.

The resignations included Coach Ryan Teetz, who posted the announcement on Facebook.
“My grandfather always believed that green and white ran through his veins. I believe that too. Unfortunately, I can no longer support this place though,” wrote Teetz. “I will always be grateful for the opportunity to play here, coach here, serve this program, and be part of something that means so much to my family and me.”
It is unknown what caused the resignations and administrative leave
The football season is scheduled to begin Thursday.
