RACINE, Wis. — A man from Racine is in custody after a narcotics investigation led to a drug bust at a home with children inside.
The Racine County Metro Drug Unit and Racine County SWAT Team arrested 29-year-old Anthony Ford on July 24 as they executed a search warrant at a home near Arlington Ave. and Ashland Ave.
Investigators located and seized:
- Approximately 85 grams of crack cocaine
- Approximately 142 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 998 grams of marijuana
- One semi-automatic handgun
- $13,460 in U.S. currency
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office said Ford’s two young children were inside the home when they found the drugs, cash and gun. The children were taken into protective custody and transported for medical evaluations.
Ford faces multiple drug-related felonies:
- Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
- Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He’s due back in court on Wednesday, Aug. 5 for a preliminary hearing.
