FRANKLIN, Wis. — One person was arrested for wielding a baseball bat after a fight broke out at the Franklin Ballpark Commons on Sunday.
Franklin Police were initially called to the Midwest Orthopedic Performance Center for multiple reports of gunshots during a youth sporting event around 2:45 p.m. on April 12.
When police arrived, they learned that several people in the crowd got into a fight. They did not find any evidence that a gun was fired.
A 36-year-old man from Illinois was taken into custody on recommended charges of recklessly endangering safety, for allegedly arming himself with a baseball bat. Official charges are still pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
One person was treated at the scene by Franklin Fire Department personnel for minor injuries. Police did not specify how that person was hurt.
