MADISON, Wis. — Five children were injured in a bus crash leaving school on the southside of Madison on Wednesday.
According to the Madison Police Department Facebook, around 2:50 p.m., a dump truck ran a red light, T-boning the school bus as it turned onto S. Park St near Highway 12.
The bus was coming from Midvale Elementary School carrying around 30 students.
The five kids were taken to the UW hospital for minor injuries. Two other students were checked on scene by paramedics and released to their family.
Parents were asked to meet the students at Lincoln Elementary School.
