Undelivered DoorDash order in Milwaukee leads to criminal charges

MILWAUKEE — A woman is facing chargers for following a DoorDash driver home and vandalizing her car over a canceled food delivery.

22-year-old Janiyah Jones has been charged with one felony of criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct. 

A criminal complaint said the driver was trying to deliver Jones’s Fryerz order on July 11 when her phone lost service. She then drove home to use Wi-Fi to cancel the order. 

Investigators said video from a Ring camera shows Jones arrive at the victim’s home and proceed to smash her car’s windows, throw a brick at the car, and use a tire iron to smash other parts of the vehicle.

The damages totaled over $10,000.

Jones is due back in court Oct. 7.
