SHEBOYGAN, Wis.– A man accused of injuring a 2-year-old child in a shooting at a Sheboygan business has died in custody.
According to Sheboygan police, 65-year-old Pao Lee died in custody at the Sheboygan County Jail after he was found unresponsive in the shower. Despite life-saving measures, Lee was pronounced deceased on scene.
Lee was charged for allegedly trying to shoot a relative at Wisconsin Home Health Care on September 5th.
The Sheboygan County District Attorney confirmed Monday that the case has been dropped.
The Fond Du Lac Sheriff’s office is investigating the death in a “thorough, transparent, external investigation of the circumstances surrounding the incident,” according to authorities.
An autopsy of Lee’s body is scheduled for Monday.
