MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee alderperson for the 8th District announces she is running for Wisconsin Secretary of State.
Alderperson JoCasta Zamarripa put out the information on her social media:
Zamarripa has been the alderperson for Milwaukee’s 8th District on the city’s near south side since 2020. She previously served as the first Latina in the Wisconsin State Legislature over five terms starting in 2010.
The only other declared candidate for the Wisconsin Secretary of State office is the Green Party’s Pete Karas.
