GREENFIELD, Wis. — Part of a Milwaukee public works truck sunk into the pavement at the site of a water main break in Greenfield Thursday afternoon.
It happened near 37th and Kimberly.
Crews are working to remove the truck, after which they will begin repairs and work to restore water service, a Milwaukee Water Works spokesperson told WTMJ.
Approximately 20 homes in the area are currently without water.
The water main break occurred on a small distribution line. However, because the southwest side of the city has higher water pressure due to serving a larger area, a significant amount of water was released, according to the Water Works spokesperson.
