The run ends at one for a man from Mequon who had been the reigning ‘Jeopardy!’ champion.
Micah Fritz entered the Final Jeopardy round with a slight lead over his competition on Wednesday’s show.
The final clue asked contestants to identify an early chatbot named for a language-learning musical character.
The answer: Eliza Doolittle, the protagonist in George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 play Pygmalion and its 1956 musical adaptation, “My Fair Lady”.
The 32-year-old Fritz’s run on ‘Jeopardy!’ came after a 15-year effort to get on the show. He shared an interesting nugget with host Ken Jennings on the Tuesday competition: he runs an Instagram account offering a review of Milwaukee-area bathrooms. He added a review of the facilites at Sony Pictures Studios where the game show is recorded (5/10 by the way, winning points for cleanliness but docked for lacking comfort).

Fritz finishes his quick run with over $14,000 in winnings from his victory on Tuesday’s episode, and an additional $3,000 for finishing in second on Wednesday.
