MILWAUKEE, Wis – Fifty-five percent of Wisconsin voters say they do not want Governor Tony Evers to seek a third term in office, according to new data in the latest Marquette University Law School poll.
83% of Democrats, 37% of independents, and 7% of Republicans want Evers to run again, according to the poll.
Evers has previously stated he won’t decide whether or not to seek a thrid term in office until after the Wisconsin 2025-27 biennial state budget is finalized. The soft deadline for a budget is June 30th; Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has previously stated his goal is to have a budget finalized by the Fourth of July holiday.

Among the 873 registered voters interviewed between June 13th and 19th, fourty-eight percent approve of the job Evers is doing as governor, while 46% disapprove.
