MILWAUKEE – Summerfest is more than just epic tunes. Foodies of all types can wander the festival grounds and find tried-and-true classics, along with new culinary sensations.
New menu items this year include brisket egg rolls from Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, beer battered cheese bites at Nashville North, and deconstructed smore empanadas from La Masa Empanada Bar.
The food lineup also offers some new vendors this year, one of those being Beats & Eats.
“We offer a variety of loaded fries, plus Lumpia City Mac ‘n Cheese Rolls,” Beats & Eats employee Alicia Conley told WTMJ. “The buffalo loaded fries are my favorite thing on the menu.”
During day one of the festival, several fans told us the food is certainly a big part of the event.
“We are for sure going to try all the new foods and walk around to see what looks the best,” said Calvin Elmore.
“I love Summerfest because so many people come together, there is good food and music, and it’s on the lakefront,” said Carson Crawshaw.
