GERMANTOWN, Wis. — A suspect in a Germantown stabbing that injured a teenager and her mother is in custody after leading police on a chase and crashing in Indiana.
Germantown Police responded to an apartment near Legend Ave. and Blacksmith Ct. around 8 a.m. Sunday, where a 15-year-old girl reported her mother was bleeding.
A 41-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa with life-threatening injuries, and her 15-year-old daughter suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled in an unknown vehicle and was later found at a gas station in Gary, Indiana. Indiana State Police and Gary Police Department began a chase, and the suspect eventually crashed over the Willowcreek Bypass bridge in Portage. He was then taken into custody.
Germantown Police will be referring charges to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
