Cardinal Stritch University has isolated three students whom the university says were in “direct contact” with someone who tested positive with coronavirus.
University president Kathleen Rinehart shared a letter with the Stritch community saying three students who live in a residence hall had contact with that person while on spring break.
After returning to campus, the students did not go to any classes or “move through any common areas on campus.”
The university says the students are “symptom free at this point in time” and have not had a coronavirus-positive diagnosis.
The North Shore Health Department is helping the university with the students’ care.
The school is asking students and others to follow numerous self-care steps to help people stay healthy.
