WE Energies tells WTMJ the leak was stopped around 4:45 p.m. A contractor had struck a gas main just before 4 p.m.
Businesses were evacuated as a precaution.

A serious gas leak is prompting evacuations of Wauwatosa businesses along W. Innovation Drive.
WE Energies says crews were called to the area Wednesday afternoon just before 4:30 p.m.
Innovation Drive is closed for the emergency, causing long lines of cars as people try to leave work.
