MILWAUKEE- Vaping, or smoking e-cigarettes, could be the factor behind the hospitalization of 8 teenagers suffering from respiratory and lung issues.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin says the eight cases were all noted around a similar time with the only link between the teens being that they said they had used vaping within a month of being hospitalized.
The hospital says the severity of the health conditions have varied with some of the teens needing help in order to breathe. According to Children’s Hospital, the symptoms that led to the hospitalizations were all similar and include shortness of breath, fatigue, chest pain, coughing, and weight loss.
The hospital is set to provide an update later this afternoon.
