DANE COUNTY, Wis. — An inmate from the Dane County Jail has gone AWOL or absent without leave.
Dane County Sheriff’s office says 48-year-old Martin J. Meyers was taken to a local medical facility around 1:00 p.m. on October 7, and was last seen around 4:00 p.m. before he left the hospital without permission.
Court records show that Meyers is currently serving a 30-day Huber sentence for contempt.
Meyers is described as a white man, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 200 lbs., with blue eyes and brown hair.
He was last seen near of S. Park Street and Regent Street on Madison’s south side without shoes, wearing blue pants and a brown shirt.
