With the newest totals from Milwaukee County just released, Wisconsin’s total coronavirus cases now have reached 6,115 people.
2,708 people in Milwaukee County have contracted the virus as of 2:30 p.m. Monday. That is an 81-case increase and about a 3.1 percent case increase.
The number of increases had been more than 100 each day late last week, but had gone down over the weekend.
Almost 2,000 cases – exactly 1,991 – come from the City of Milwaukee.
The numbers of currently hospitalized people, ventilator usage, ICU bed usage and total floor bed usage all went up in the last 24 hours.

The State of Wisconsin says that more than 6,000 people have contracted coronavirus in the state.
Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm revealed that 6,081 people had contracted the virus, based on numbers collected from all 72 Wisconsin counties – a 2.8 percent rise from Sunday.
According to Secretary Palm, 61,311 people had negative tests.

As the number of available tests for coronavirus increase in Wisconsin, so do the number of positive tests – perhaps offering a more accurate view of the spread of COVID-19.
Milwaukee County’s just-released data shows 2,682 people having contracted the virus.
Combining the Monday morning numbers from Milwaukee County and the state’s numbers, there have now been 5,964 positive tests in the state.
New county-by-county numbers are expected for the state by 2 p.m. Check back for an update then.
